Chaplains to St. Vincent's Sixth Form College are holding a Slavery Awareness Day to coincide with the 300th Anniversary of the passing of the Abolition of Slavery Act in Parliament (although sadly, this only marked the start of the ending of the Slave Trade). This will include the showing of the Spielberg Film Armistad, a multisensory act of worship and to promote the March of Witness on the 25th March 2007 in London, leaflets will be distributed from a cage, to remind people that Slavery is still rife in some parts of the world: sexual slavery and traffiking exists within the UK and some products bought in the UK from developing countries have been contaminated by Slave Labour.
